Setting Up "Guided Access" for iOS App

Guided Access, also known as Kiosk Mode, allows you to limit a device to one app for locations that want a dedicated streaming device.

Turning Guided Access On

  1. Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Guided Access

  2. Turn on Guided Access, and set a passcode for it
    ​*Note: the passcode for Guided Access is separate from the device passcode.

  3. Navigate to the Pandora CloudCover app, initiate a stream, then triple click the home button

  4. Click the “Start” button in the top right corner

  5. Don’t forget to write down the Guided Access passcode, as it is required to return the device back to non-Guided Access mode

Controllable Device Functionality in Guided Access

With Guided Access on, you can choose which device functionality can be used.

Examples

  • Sleep/Wake Button

  • Volume Buttons

  • Motion

  • Keyboards

  • Touch

  • Time Limit
