How to Manage Multiple Locations or Zones

Manage music, messaging, signage, playback settings, and more across multiple Zones or locations using the Zones Dashboard.

Written by Patricia Rains

Plan requirement: Multi-location and multi-Zone management is not available on the Music plan. Your account must be on the Manage plan or higher to use the Zones Dashboard to make changes across multiple Zones or locations.

The Zones Dashboard gives account administrators a central place to view and manage multiple Zones across one or more locations.

Use it when you need to make changes across several Zones rather than controlling them individually.

Open the Zones Dashboard

  1. Log in to your account at https://tune.cloudcovermusic.com.

  2. Select Accounts at the top of the page.

  3. Select Zones from the left navigation menu.

From here, you can view the Zones you have access to, see their current status, and select one or more Zones to manage.

Manage settings across multiple Zones

After selecting one or more Zones, use the controls across the top of the Zones Dashboard to make changes to those Zones.

Depending on your plan, permissions, and Zone setup, available options may include:

  • Music: Change the Station, Mix, or Daypart playing on the selected Zones.

  • Message Presets: Apply a saved sequence of audio messages.

  • Message Schedules: Assign message schedule.

  • Display: Assign digital signage content to supported Zones.

  • Crossfade: Adjust the transition time between songs.

  • Regions: Assign selected Zones to a Region.

This makes it easy to apply the same configuration to multiple Zones at once instead of updating each Zone individually.

Change music for multiple Zones

To change the music across multiple Zones:

  1. Select the Zones you want to update.
Use the selection control next to each Zone to choose one or more Zones.

  2. Open the Music menu at the top of the dashboard.

  3. Search or browse for the Station, Mix, Daypart, or other available music you want to use.

  4. Select one to apply the change to the selected Zones.

The selected music will begin playing on each Zone after its current song finishes, so the change may not happen at exactly the same moment across every Zone.

Manage messaging, signage, and other settings

The same multi-select workflow can be used for other Zone settings.

Select the Zones you want to update, then choose the appropriate option from the top of the dashboard, for example Message Presets, Message Schedules, Display, Crossfade, or Regions.

The available options may vary based on your subscription, permissions, and the devices associated with each Zone.

Managing one Zone instead

The Zones Dashboard is most useful when you need to manage multiple Zones or locations at once.

For day-to-day control of an individual Zone, use the player bar instead. From there, you can:

  • Select the Zone you want to control

  • See where that Zone is currently playing

  • Play, pause, or skip music

  • Change the music for that Zone

  • Switch playback to your current browser or, when available, a registered CloudBox

See How to Remotely Control a Zone from a Browser for step-by-step instructions.

You can also remotely control an individual Zone from the Pandora CloudCover mobile app.
