What You’ll Need

  • Sonos speakers: Ensure they’re connected and ready to use.

  • Pandora CloudCover Music subscription: Sign up for a music plan if you haven’t already.

  • Stable internet connection: Both Pandora CloudCover and Sonos require internet access.

  • Sonos app and CloudCover Music credentials: Download the latest version of the Sonos app and have your CloudCover login details handy.

Link Pandora CloudCover to Sonos

When you link Pandora CloudCover to Sonos, it becomes one of the content services integrated into your Sonos system. Once connected, CloudCover stations can be selected directly through the Sonos app, while still adhering to the features and licensing requirements of your CloudCover account.

To add Pandora CloudCover to Sonos:

  1. Open the Sonos app on your device.

  2. Go to Your Services and click Add Content Service

  3. Search for CloudCover in the list of available services.

  4. Select Pandora CloudCover and click Add to Sonos.

  5. Click Authorize

  6. Enter your CloudCover login credentials and select the Zone you'd like to assign to Sonos

Once you've successfully logged in, return to the Sonos app

Look for the Pandora CloudCover service icon and click it to select a station.

How to stream CloudCover music in the Sonos app

When streaming Pandora CloudCover on your Sonos speakers, you can access all the stations available in your account, including:

  • Business Stations

  • My Mix Stations

  • My Pandora Stations

Business Stations

In the Pandora CloudCover app, you can browse thousands of Pandora stations, covering every genre, mood, and era, providing unparalleled variety for your business. Additionally, you can create personalized Pandora stations inspired by specific songs or artists you choose.

Once a station is created or added in CloudCover, it will automatically appear under My Pandora Stations in Sonos, ready to play.

How to remotely control or schedule the music playing on your Sonos Speakers

Pandora CloudCover offers a convenient Select Station Remotely feature, enabling you to control your music on Sonos from anywhere. This option allows you to remotely change stations or assign a daypart music schedule through the CloudCover web or mobile app, eliminating the need to manually adjust settings while running your business.

With Select Station Remotely, you can change the station from anywhere or assign an automated schedule to provide variety throughout the day, without needing to be physically present at your business or manually adjust the Sonos app.

When using this feature, keep the following in mind:

  • Station and Daypart Selection: All changes to stations and dayparts are made in the CloudCover app (web or mobile). These updates will sync with your Sonos speakers within a few songs.

  • Playback and Volume Controls: While you can schedule and change music remotely, functions such as Play, Pause, Skip, and Volume adjustments cannot be controlled remotely. These must be done directly in the Sonos app.
