Create smoother transitions between songs

Crossfade creates smoother transitions between songs by overlapping the end of one track with the beginning of the next. This eliminates the silence between tracks and helps maintain a consistent, polished listening experience in your space.

How Crossfade Works

When Crossfade is enabled:

  • The current song fades out as the next song fades in

  • Transitions happen automatically between songs

  • Scheduled messages and announcements are not affected

How to Enable Crossfade on mobile devices

  1. Start playing music on your mobile device

  2. Open the Now Playing screen

  3. Tap the infinity (∞) icon

  4. Turn Crossfade on

  5. Adjust the Crossfade duration as desired

Important Notes & Limitations

  • Crossfade is currently available only on iOS, Android, and Sonos devices (see how to enable enable crossfade on Sonos)

  • Crossfade works only when music is playing directly on the device

  • Crossfade is not available when the app is being used as a remote control for another player (such as a CloudBox)

If you are controlling another device, the Crossfade option will not appear.

Coming Soon

We’re actively working to expand Crossfade support:

  • Amazon App – coming soon

  • CloudBox – coming soon

We’ll share updates as these become available.

Troubleshooting

If you don’t see the infinity (∞) icon:

  • Make sure your iOS app is updated to the latest version

  • Confirm that audio is playing directly from the mobile device (not controlling another player)
