Digital Signage is available to customers on the Messaging & Signage plan. Contact Customer Support if you're interested in upgrading.
Pandora CloudCover makes it easy to manage your in-store music and digital signage together. Upload images and videos, display them immediately, or use Signage Dayparting to automatically change what's shown throughout the day or week.
All you need is a standard HDMI cable connecting your CloudBox to an in-store TV or display.
Each independent TV or display requires:
One CloudBox
One Zone
An HDMI connection from the CloudBox to the TV or display
Once connected, the CloudBox delivers a video feed to that screen. From your Pandora CloudCover dashboard, you can:
Upload images and videos to your Signage Library
Assign any image or video directly to a Zone
Create signage dayparts to automatically change content based on the day and time
Assign the same signage schedule across multiple Zones and locations
Each Zone operates independently, giving you control over what appears on each screen.
Upload Images and Videos to the Signage Library
Before displaying or scheduling signage, upload your images and videos to the Signage Library.
Step 1: Under the Signage section, open the Signage Library.
Step 2: Click Upload and select the images or videos from your device.
Step 3: Wait a few seconds while your files upload and process.
Once processing is complete, your media will appear in the Signage Library and can be displayed immediately or added to a signage daypart.
Display an Image or Video Immediately
You can assign a single image or video directly to one or more Zones without creating a schedule.
Step 1: Go to the Zones dashboard.
Step 2: Select one or more zones you want to update.
Step 3: Open the Signage dropdown and select the image or video you want to display.
The selected content will replace the default album art on TVs or displays connected to those CloudBoxes.
You can change the signage at any time by selecting a different image, video, or signage daypart.
Schedule Signage with Dayparting
Signage Dayparting lets you automatically change the image or video displayed on your screens based on the day and time.
For example, a restaurant could automatically show:
A breakfast promotion in the morning
A lunch special midday
Happy hour content in the afternoon
Dinner promotions in the evening
Different weekend promotions on Saturday and Sunday
Before creating a signage daypart, make sure the images and videos you want to use have already been uploaded to your Signage Library.
Create a Signage Daypart
Step 1: Under the Signage section, select Signage Dayparting.
This page shows your existing signage dayparts and whether they're currently in use.
Step 2: Click Create Daypart.
Step 3: Enter a name for your signage daypart, such as Weekly Promotions, Fall Lineup, or Restaurant Menu Schedule.
If appropriate for your account, select Is Global? to make the signage daypart available across your account.
Note: Signage dayparts observe the local time zone of each location. For example, content scheduled for 9:00 AM will begin at 9:00 AM local time at each location using that daypart.
Add Images and Videos to Your Schedule
Your signage daypart is displayed as a weekly calendar, with a column for each day of the week.
Step 1: Click an open area of the calendar on the day and approximate time you want your signage to begin.
Step 2: In the Create Daypart window, select an image or video from the Signage dropdown.
Step 3: Choose a Start Time and End Time.
Step 4: Click Done.
The scheduled content will appear on the weekly calendar.
Continue adding dayparts until you've created the schedule you want.
You can use different images or videos throughout the day, create different schedules for weekdays and weekends, or leave portions of the schedule open when you don't need scheduled signage.
Copy a Daily Schedule Across the Week
If several days use the same signage schedule, you don't need to build each day individually. At the bottom of the calendar:
Select the day you want to copy.
Click Copy to copy that day's schedule to the rest of the week.
You can then modify individual days as needed.
This can be particularly useful for creating a standard Monday-Friday schedule before customizing weekend content.
Save Your Signage Daypart
When you're finished building or editing the schedule, click Save Signage Daypart.
Your signage daypart will now appear in the Signage Dayparting list and can be assigned to your Zones.
Saving the schedule does not automatically assign it to a screen. You'll need to select the Zones where you want it to run.
Assign a Signage Daypart to Your Zones
Once you've created your schedule, assign it to one or more Zones.
Step 1: Go to the Zones dashboard.
Step 2: Select the Zone or Zones you want to update.
You can select a single Zone or update multiple Zones at once.
Step 3: Open the Signage dropdown.
Step 4: Select the signage daypart you created.
The selected Zones will now automatically change their signage based on that schedule.
Because signage schedules follow each location's local time zone, the same daypart can be assigned across locations in different time zones without creating separate schedules.
Change or Remove Signage
You can change what's displayed on a Zone at any time from the Zones dashboard.
To switch to different content, select the Zone and choose another:
Image
Video
Signage daypart
To stop displaying custom signage, select None. The screen will return to showing the "now player" album art.
Display and Signage Permissions
Access to the Signage Library, Signage Dayparting, and control of in-store displays follows the same permission model as Messaging.
Message Admins / Manage Messages
Users with Message Admin access or the Manage Messages permission can:
Upload and manage media in the Signage Library
Create and manage signage dayparts
Choose which signage plays at locations they have access to
This role is intended for users responsible for creating and managing messaging and signage content at scale.
Select Messages
Users with the Select Messages permission can:
View and select existing media from the Signage Library
Choose approved signage for locations they have access to
They cannot:

This role is best suited for location-level users who need to select from pre-approved content without creating new assets.
