Sonos products with a Line-In port

Some Sonos products include a Line-In connection that allows you to play audio directly from an external device — such as a CloudBox — through your Sonos system.

If you’re using a Sonos Era 100, Era 300, or Move 2, you’ll need a Sonos Line-In Adapter (sold separately) to connect to a line-in source. Learn how to set it up in our guide, How to Connect and Stream from a CloudBox Using Sonos Line-In Adapter.

Play Line-In

Once you’ve connected a device to the Line-In port on your Sonos product, you can start playing Line-In audio using the Sonos controller.

Sonos app for iOS or Android

  1. From your Home screen, open the System view by selecting your system’s name at the top left of the screen. Choose the room or group that you want to play Line-In audio.

  2. Close the System view to go back to your Home screen. Find the section for Your Sources and select Line-In.

  3. Select the source device to start playback.
