The CloudBox connects to an NTP service on port 123 (egress) to get the time and date. The date/time is necessary for the security certificate to verify and connect using  https. Please read this article for more information on firewall, proxy and content filter configurations.

To Check the Date and Time

  1. Plug an HDMI cable into the monitor and the CloudBox.
  2. Plug a USB mouse into the USB port on the CloudBox.  Note: Mouse clicks will interrupt the music if it is playing.
  3. Right click on the screen.
  4. Check the date and time, (top right corner).

You can then also open a browser, (the globe icon on the bottom),and make sure you have internet connection, (head over to Google's homepage or something similar).  Select the black box where it says 'CloudCover Music to try and play music.

To Change the Date and Time

If it is not possible to allow the CloudBox to access port 123 for NTP, then you can set the date and time manually, however, if the CloudBox is restarted, the date/time will need to be set up again.

To change the Date and Time, click Settings > General > More Settings > Date and Time.

From the Date and Time menu, choose the correct date and time, and de-select any setting to automatically set the date and time.

The right click on the mouse is the back button. So to go back to the main menu, just right click.

You may need to additionally go back to General>Date and Time and set the top field to 'close'. Then fill out the date and time here as well.
